September 22, 2021 - Discreet Labs, one of the developers behind Findora, a blockchain public chain with programmable privacy properties, announced that,Developers can now deploy smart contracts via the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) on the Findora Developer Network (Devnet).image description
Developers can now use the Ethereum Virtual Machine to write smart contracts on Findora's developer network Devnet, marking Findora's important cross-chain compatibility.
"Findora's compatibility with EVM is not onlyIt indicates that Findora officially enters the DeFi market, and through a trustless cross-chain bridgeLong-term commitment to Layer 1 cross-chain interoperability with other ecosystems,"Warren Paul Anderson, vice president of product at Discreet Labs, which is developing Findora, said."As institutions continue to build and expand their DeFi strategies, we anticipate growing demand for making smart contracts more private using zero-knowledge proofs, as this protects user privacy and critical competitive information."Findora EVM compatibility means developers can use Findora to:
Deploy Ethereum precompiled smart contracts using Solidity
Build and deploy DApps using Ethereum tools like Truffle
Build trustless bridges with Ethereum and ERC-20 compatible networks
Issue and trade with ERC-20 compatible tokens
The Findora Developer Network is a public staging network running the latest and upcoming beta releases for developers to test before deploying to the Findora Anvil Testnet and Findora Mainnet Beta.
The current Devnet version has also successfully implemented Findora's FRA native token compatible with EVM and ERC-20 standards, which means that FRA can be used in MetaMask to participate in DApps and decentralized exchanges in the growing Ethereum DeFi ecosystem (DEX).
The next important milestone for Findora will be to introduce a privacy protection mechanism for EVM smart contracts by using Findora’s open-source zero-knowledge proof, multi-party computation, and encryption libraries for related privacy systems, which will be a major advancement for the entire encryption industry. Findora will also take the leadLeading the industry into the era of PriFi (Privacy Finance).
Discreet Labs invites developers to start building DeFi projects on Findora Devnet and contribute to various open source repositories on GitHub. Developers can also apply for a Grant through the official website of the Findora Foundation and receive funding.
