Crypto Stocks & Trends | Strategy Adds 250 BTC in a Single Week; Bitmine Adds 12,500 ETH Last Week, Total Holdings Rise to 6.03 Million (October 13)

Editor's Note: In our pre-holiday Crypto-Stock Compass, we emphasized the importance of "exercising caution and hedging risks," and the post-holiday stock market trajectory has unfolded exactly as predicted—performing in a way that is extremely difficult to assess.
Over the past two weeks, both U.S. and Korean stock markets have experienced a certain degree of decline. Unlike the previous pattern of correction and recovery, recent restorative tailwinds from macro politics and geopolitics have been unable to mask the broader weakness, and have likewise somewhat dampened expectations for Federal Reserve rate hikes. In the AI sector, as Anthropic's targeted IPO date approaches, no stimulating positive catalysts have materialized. Instead, Anthropic's prospectus has exposed the fragile revenue structure and ever-widening cost battles facing today's AI giants.
Given the current situation, research institutions and asset management firms have been voting with their feet: BlackRock Investment Institute recently adjusted its U.S. asset allocation, upgrading short-term U.S. Treasuries to overweight, raising long-term U.S. Treasuries from underweight to neutral—ending nearly six years of underweight positioning on U.S. Treasuries. At the same time, the institute downgraded U.S. equities from overweight to neutral and lowered its rating on U.S. agency mortgage-backed securities (MBS). Morgan Stanley believes that the bond market is prematurely accomplishing some of the tightening work the Fed would otherwise need to achieve through policy rates, which may paradoxically create conditions for easing pressure on the stock market. Morgan Stanley's Chief U.S. Equity Strategist Mike Wilson noted that investors currently need to watch two key indicators: financial sector performance and bond market volatility. If September CPI comes in moderate and bond market pressure eases, the Fed may gain more room for observation, and the stock market could also see a broader foundation for gains.
As for tokenized U.S. stock trading, which the crypto market has high hopes for, it remains in its early stages. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently pointed out that tokenized U.S. equities support round-the-clock trading and fractional share ownership, with more than half of trades occurring outside regular market hours and approximately 80% of trades involving less than one full share. Overnight price movements contain valid information, with over 85% of price changes reflected in traditional stock prices within 5 minutes of market open. The tokenized stock market remains relatively small and fragmented; it can improve settlement and automation processes, but requires strengthened legal, liquidity, and interoperability safeguards.
With U.S. midterm elections approaching, global capital markets may continue to exhibit short-term volatility combined with a correction trend before results are finalized, and only policy-driven tailwinds would enable a rapid surge. Readers are advised to continue adopting a defensive strategy when participating in capital markets to avoid further downside in the broader market.

Tom Lee: Ethereum Could Break $5,000 by Year-End, Potentially Hit $50,000 This Cycle
Tom Lee, Chairman of Ethereum treasury company Bitmine, recently said in an interview that Ethereum could rise to $25,000–$50,000 in this cycle. He believes that ETH has been range-bound in a similar zone for the past five years, and sustained bottoming could lay the foundation for a larger breakout ahead.
Tom Lee also predicts ETH will exceed $5,000 by year-end, noting that if Bitcoin rises above $100,000, ETH could reach approximately $7,500. However, market prediction data shows that traders currently assign only a 4% probability to ETH reaching $5,000 by the end of 2026.
