Airdrop Important Information
- OpenSea announced that token airdrops will be evaluated based on user profiles. The top 1 user in historical trading volume has a negative attitude towards airdrops.
On July 30th, OpenSea team member Adam Hollander responded to a question in the Discord community about the impact of historical usage on token airdrops, stating that OpenSea will take user profiles into consideration. "For example, some people visited during the bull market and never returned. Others have only recently arrived, hoping to take advantage of the market. Then there are those veterans who never left, weathered the bear market, and are still here today. This information is being evaluated by the foundation."
Pranksy, an NFT collector and OpenSea's all-time top-trading user, wrote that unless SEA can deliver generational wealth to every Degen user in the platform's history, it will be labeled a failure. As the user with the most all-time trading volume, I hope for the best, but having been scammed too many times, I wouldn't count on it succeeding, and neither should you.
- Linea announced its token economic model, with 9% allocated for airdrops. A snapshot of the tokens airdropped during the TGE has been completed.
Ethereum L2 network Linea announced the token economics of its token LINEA on July 29. LINEA is not a gas token. Transactions on Linea use ETH to pay for fees. Both ETH and LINEA are double-destroyed through the L2 charging mechanism.
The total supply of 72 billion tokens is 85% allocated to the ecosystem and 15% to the ConsenSys Treasury, which has a five-year lockup period and no investor or employee reserves. The core purpose of the token is to reward real-world usage, incentivize builders, and support Ethereum public goods. Approximately 15.8 billion tokens (approximately 22%) will be in circulation at the Time General Evolution (TGE), covering airdrops to early users, ecosystem incentives, and liquidity guidance. Early Contributors (10%): 9% will be allocated for user airdrops and 1% for key ecosystem projects, both unlocked at the TGE. The ConsenSys Treasury (15%): locked for five years to support subsequent ecosystem deployment and protocol health.
Meanwhile, Linea project leader Declan Fox responded to user questions about the LINEA token economics on July 30th, stating that a snapshot of the tokens airdropped during the TGE has been completed, and all Sybil attack filtering has been completed. Furthermore, this airdrop does not involve CEX listing, InfoFi, or other asset dilution, and the funds will not flow to the team or investors.
