Product and market outlook:

Q:What are you currently doing to improve my experience at LooksRare as a user? Are you also improving the experience for creators?

Gizmo: This is my current focus. Most of the improvements will appear in V2. We're refining task flow, presentations, messaging, and more. The design system has been updated, and the functions for searching, buying and selling have been improved. We're basically paying attention to everything. For creators, we're looking for solid curation tools, more ways to engage collectors, and of course some surprises.

Q:What is the team's outlook for the NFT market in the next six months? What are the immediate goals for the platform, and what are the goals in six months?

Gizmo: Bullish! LooksRare is a talented and committed team with many innovative creators in the market. Better tools are being made every day. The joy that comes from creating and collecting is unparalleled.

You'll hate me for having such a vague answer about the team's goals, but the near future is the initial release of V2. 6-month target: late release of V2. We set V2 to be a continual stream of major, platform-changing releases.

Q: Your team has previously mentioned plans to increase the utility of LOOKS in V2 - is there anything else you can add? For example, does V2 allow transaction quotations? Transaction + ETH?

Gizmo: Unfortunately I can't share too many details about V2 or the team will say I'm a leaker, but I can assure you that we do have plans to increase the utility of LOOKS through V2 and we are very excited about what's coming excited.

Q: On the feature request board, are there any user-proposed features that surprise you?

Gizmo: The participation in the feature request board has been excellent. I've been pleasantly surprised by user support for historical NFT data. There has been a lot of feedback on this. Other than that, it would be great to add additional search and sorting features to highlight lines of information on the NFT such as mint/creation date.

Q: Why did you choose to only send notifications to users on Discord? Will there be more options in the future?

Gizmo: Discord's notifications aren't very friendly. We'll be improving the overall Discord notifications experience over time.

We also plan to publish more forms of notifications that users can subscribe to.

But let me state that we never currently plan to allow email notifications. Too many email compromises happen these days, putting users at risk of being phished.

Q: Do you have any plans to have a"Lazy "Issuer of NFT? Especially if it has a mint plan so creators don't have to pay for gas. I believe this is the next step for NFTs, and user-friendly options are necessary for long-term adoption.

Gizmo: good question! In my opinion, Mint and Lazy mint are very important market functions, we have to think about how to do these correctly.

Lazy mint is generally a very centralized system, once you create an NFT it doesn't exist, only when it is transferred. We have noticed that this prevents many OpenSea users from listing their"NFT "of chaos.

We wanted to make sure we got it right, so we spent a lot of time on it.

About normal mint. There are a number of very good providers that we like and use ourselves, such as Manifold. It doesn't make much sense for us to reinvent, we want to support and grow the ecosystem, so we might work more closely with Manifold in the future, but that's only theoretical.

Q: Are you improving/hiring customer support? Sometimes it is very complicated to contact you with relevant questions, collect and verify? We are patient, but for it to be successful, there should be better assistance.

Gizmo: Yes, the current LooksRare team is more than 20 people. It's really small, and we don't have any dedicated support team, because we're still going through some growing pains with rapid scaling.

We really want to hire some dedicated customer support to help creators get the most out of our platform and to help users with any issues they may have.

Our initial success was great, but also a pain point for us because we didn't envision scaling so quickly.

One thing that makes the LooksRare team different than other teams you might see is that we are a bit slow to hire because our standards are very high. We believe that it is more important to hire a few very talented people and reward them well than to hire hundreds and experience avoidable growing pains.

I'm sorry you had a terrible experience with us and thank you for your honest feedback.

Q: How do you gain insights from user experience? Are you going to do user research (e.g. interviews via zoom)

Copretti: We have several tools for getting this information, and starting today we're adding a program for one-on-one engagement with community members - the Community Advisor Program. I will be speaking directly with members of the community to better understand the challenges users are facing and how we can best address them.

If you are interested in participating, please read the blog post below and sign the form.https://docs.looksrare.org/zh-Hans/blog/community-advisor-program

Q: In the current harsh market environment, what innovative measures do you have to attract new customers?

Cobretti: There are many ways for the whole team to achieve this goal - including a proposal that I am very interested in, and it will be coming soon. From my user experience, the more we drive successful engagement for our existing communities, the more likely they are to share with others. So I know that as we improve the overall ease of use, we'll see growth. You're going to have to keep your eye on these secret innovations -- and you'll be glad you did.

Q: Are you thinking about adding 3D metadata where the interface could be experienced like an art gallery? First mover to market can be a huge game that competitors cannot easily catch up. If not, I think it would be good to start planning early.

Gizmo: team member:

team member:

ask:Why doesn't the team want to be made public?

Gizmo: Honestly, this is quite a challenging problem. I personally would love to be made public and provide assurance to the community.

One of the problems with that is that it's going to create operational security issues, and we're not comfortable with that. When you are exposed, you are subject to physical attacks and targeted phishing attacks.

The safety of our team is our number one priority, and even internally, many of us never meet or know each other's identities as it's an extra security measure.

Q: The price of LOOKS has dropped from $7 to ~$0.4. How does this affect the development team?

Gizmo: I can proudly say that we have hired all the right people who are confident, driven and passionate. The motivation of everyone on the team doesn't seem to be affected by the price drop. Thankfully, LooksRare's treasury is well managed, and we have a long runway and are able to provide the team with a stable base of work without fear of losing their jobs due to economic turmoil.

In reality, no one knows how long this bear market will last, so it is important to us that all our team members are able to provide for themselves and their families despite the current global economic conditions.

Q: Are you planning any layoffs? What is the team like?

Gizmo: We have no layoff plans. We're actually hiring, and we're hiring. https://docs.looksrare.org/about/category/hiring

Our treasury has several years of stable uptime (public and on-chain, you can verify for yourself).

Q: Why did you choose LooksRare over many other WEB3 companies? What are you most interested in about this platform? What things did you change immediately after joining?

Cobretti: It's easy. I really appreciate the spirit of teams being rewarded healthy for their contributions to the community. Get rewarded for following and participating. I have a ton of industry experience and I can see teams managing rapid growth, dealing with user needs and expectations. As an advocate of people-centredness—a production philosophy that places people at the center of all decisions and outcome goals—I knew I could bring something of value. As for immediate changes, this insight may emerge over time. I'm only halfway through my eighth week on the team, and the work we've done is cumulative, but incremental. Managing the consistency of presentation and information for immediate and recent updates is a constant challenge. Every day we are making progress.

Q: Cobretti, can you explain what your main job responsibilities are at LooksRare?

Cobretti: Every day I focus on the process and outcome of successful community member engagement. When it comes to finding, buying, and selling NFTs, users have varying success based on their primary role in the task. I advocate for a better understanding of our users' needs on a functional and macro level. I'll give you an example - understanding the problems collectors are trying to solve before, during and after a purchase helps us where to place elements in the interface, what feedback is given at any step, and how we measure success.

Q: Gizmo, how has your work changed and evolved over the past six months?

Gizmo: good question. To be honest, my work hasn't changed much, mainly my workload has increased. My title on the team is"product manager", but in fact this is not a true portrayal of my responsibilities.

I'm a multi-tasker (genie). I will do whatever you want me to do. I personally see myself as a facilitator, someone who lets the team work as undisturbed as possible and makes sure everything runs smoothly.

One of my core personal beliefs is that if engineering teams are having trouble doing their jobs because of factors that have nothing to do with engineering, I have failed.

Q: How are you handling your growing remote team? A challenge you had to overcome?

Gizmo: Working remotely is challenging, there's no getting around it. The LooksRare team is about 20 people working in a very large number of countries. This caused very obvious timezone issues, however, we did a good job (in my opinion) at making sure these issues had the least impact on the team as a whole.

We still have room for improvement in this area though, our team is a bit siled into two and we find that for this reason there needs to be a unifying factor between them to ensure there is never any confusion Condition.

Strategic investment and token unlocking:

Q: How do you feel about unlocking strategy and team tokens? In your eyes, is it a success?

Gizmo: We are very happy with the unlock! Everyone who unlocked tokens showed a lot of confidence. The vast majority of them are staking or holding their tokens.

In terms of teams, no one is for sale and there are no plans to do so.

Personally, I staked my tokens in 're-stakes'. I think so are many others.

Redouble our efforts and commit to long-term development

Q: How did an anonymous team manage to acquire so many high-quality strategic investors?

We've had a lot of support from the start, and the team has a lot of deep relationships in the NFT and cryptocurrency industries that we've been able to leverage. As I mentioned earlier in another AMA, the team has years of experience with cryptocurrencies and NFTs. Personally, I have more than 4 years of working experience in the cryptocurrency industry.

We really appreciate having such a well-connected and passionate team.

Q: When will Pranksy and other early investors open and start promoting LooksRare?

Gizmo: We are not forcing anyone to promote LooksRare, nor are we offering to pay sponsorship fees. We want our backers to do that because they believe in the product and the team.

Most of the early players did continue to support us in different ways. We got a lot of great advice from them on how to improve and grow the platform. Just because they aren't actively tweeting about us doesn't mean they haven't helped us grow.

other problems

Q: Who are the judges for this Logo Design Contest? Which is your personal favorite so far?

Gizmo: Zodd is currently leading the promotion. As for who the judges are, I can't confirm. I don't think it's going to be a one person thing, but we'll make sure it's done in the fairest possible way to make sure there's no chance of manipulation.

Personally, I don't have a favorite work, I like so many of them equally, it's really hard to have a favorite. This community is so amazing and talented, I really can't believe how creative people are. I have something called imaginative disorder, so I'm always in awe of people who can create such amazing works of art, since my creativity is relatively limited.

Q: Is there any way I can reach out to the top management team for a collaboration proposal to benefit the entire LookRare community, I used the official email on your website and never got a reply.

Gizmo: Our team was overwhelmed with business, so we brought in a cute penguin to run BD (@PNG) Feel free to re-mail or get in touch. All official ways to contact us for business advice are here:https://docs.looksrare.org/about/business-contact

As always, I had a great time chatting with all of you, it was an amazing experience to be with you all.

I'm sorry if I didn't answer your question, but feel free to find me in the general channel on Discord, I'm happy to chat with anyone. Let's look forward to the next AMA together.
