Asset cross-chain based on distributed signature

Rangers Protocol's asset cross-chain solution is implemented based on the distributed signature system of TSS technology. Multi-party computing security chain technology

Rangers Connector will directly use the multi-party computing security chain technology based on the VRF+TSS consensus mechanism for chaining and become a blockchain. During the transfer of data and assets across the bridge, the VRF algorithm can ensure efficiency, and the TSS algorithm can ensure that messages will not be tampered with. This mechanism is conceptually similar to multi-party secure computing (SMPC: Secure Muti-Party Computation), so This technology is named multi-party computing security chain technology.

Note: Multi-Party Computation is a branch of cryptography. In MPC, a group of mutually distrusting parties attempts to jointly compute a function on their inputs while keeping those inputs private. MPC can guarantee the correctness and privacy of data. Correctness means that the output generated by the algorithm is correct; privacy means that the secret input data held by one party will not be leaked to other parties.

Although the implementation sequence of the technical solutions is only changed, in actual operation, it will save about 2 quarters of time. In the previous technical solution, the Rangers Connector went from the POW mechanism to the POS mechanism, and then to the VRF+BLS mechanism. The latest technical solution is to implement the VRF+TSS mechanism first. The VRF+TSS mechanism is similar to the VRF+BLS mechanism, but the former can be verified by Ethereum.
