Hello everyone, I am Song Ting, the global head of DoraHacks, and here I would like to share with you some feelings related to the theme "next generation". There are such a large group of people in the industry who believe in technology itself, with clear eyes, hardworking, and working hard.

The first question, let me talk to you about what is the global hacker movement and the awakening of hacker consciousness. First solve a problem, what is Hacker? We say Hacker is someone who solves a problem with the innovative technology of the times, and solves it only once. If one day the intelligent life on earth evolves to the point where we no longer need to use genes to mark our existence and no longer use carbon symbols to communicate, perhaps this definition of Hacker will be different.

Second question, what is the Hacker movement? In fact, the Hacker movement is the third stage of the open source movement. Zhuangzi said that the chaos is enlightened, and the world is divided into two, one is closed source and the other is open source. How is this Hacker movement different from previous stages? For the first time in the hacker movement, a completely spontaneous and completely international movement appeared. Why? With the emergence of blockchain technology, Hackers, that is, technical forces, can face the economic organization form in the industry for the first time, and they no longer need other middlemen to speak for themselves.

Foundation building, Huiyuan, and casting are the three stages of the open source movement accompanying the development of the blockchain industry.No one knows more about the "uselessness" of the latest technology than those who have witnessed the development of the blockchain industry. It all started with a paper by Satoshi Nakamoto, which opened up the world. At the beginning of the development of ETH, the developer meetup also played a vital role.So what is the third stage? It is casting, which means this moment as we sit here. Blockchain comes from open source and develops in open source, and new breakthroughs will surely be born in open source in the future.

Why does blockchain development require a global developer ecosystem? Everyone has seen the movie "Ready Player One". I believe that the real treasures in this world will be obtained by these real developers. For the adventures in this industry, the greatest income in the future will belong to the code magician. Let's ask a question, how many people have participated in the Hackathon? Since some of the partners have participated and some have not, I will use a brief time to introduce what it is? It is a Hacker activity that first sprouted in universities in innovation head regions such as North America. In this event, we bring together developers with different backgrounds and abilities, and let them make technical breakthroughs on a problem within 24 hours. What did they bring us 24 hours later? Be it a product prototype or a technical solution.

We founded DoraHacks, the global hacker organization. In the past four years, DoraHacks has done hundreds of various Hackathons. In 2014, when I was 18 years old, we held the first large-scale university Hackathon in mainland China in Tsinghua University. Later, we held another special event, the first Google Solve For X For Kids in China in 2015. In this event, we brought 30 10-year-old children to Beijing and asked them to use programming to solve three problems. question:

1. Beijing smog.

2. Space junk.

3. Marine pollution.

These children use the code in their hands to solve problems that are crucial to the development of human civilization. In addition, in 2016 and 2017, we held the first big data Hackathon and the first financial technology Hackathon in mainland China. In this Hackathon of financial technology, many leaders of blockchain technology that we are familiar with now have emerged. In January 2018, we held the first blockchain development Hackathon in Beijing. In 2017, as the first Chinese Hacker organization, we completed the Hackathon tour in five cities in China and established an offline center. In 2018, we will be the first Hacker organization in the world to complete the Hackathon tour in 17 countries and 26 cities.

It is worth noting that there are two different posters on the right side of the screen, which are different from other visual exposure styles. We launched the first blockchain security Hackathon in mainland China, and everyone is familiar with the very good blockchain energy parties among our partners. Also launched China's first quantitative Hackathon in Hong Kong.

Let me share some other activities with you. DoraHacks has become the sole organizer of the China Internet + University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition International Track Blockchain Section sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Office of the Central Network Security and Informatization Leading Group, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. .

In 2018, we held many Hackathons. You can see that the left-hand picture on the screen is the Hackathon held in San Francisco in January, and the second one is the Hackathon held in Seoul. At the same time, a very interesting Hackathon with the strongest technical strength and the most luxurious lineup in the world was held in San Jose. Why is this Hackathon so impressive? More than 500 Hackers from ten countries signed up, and DoraHacks provides travel subsidies for the best Hackers to come to Hack in Silicon Valley. The final winner was a 9-year-old girl. She is a well-known programming genius in India. This 9-year-old kid, what problem is she trying to solve in 24 hours with a blockchain-developed project? No one can think of it, it is the issue of gun control.

What to do after DoraHacks? We want to connect all Hackers, unite people who care about technology in the industry, and serve them. We want to explore the infinite possibilities of new technologies, including the possibility of the integration of blockchain and other emerging technologies.We have launched a technology leader community with Odaily. We connect people who really care about technology, and at the same time present a good image to the outside world, that some people are doing things in a down-to-earth manner.

The picture released now is Dora's 2018 Subaru project. DoraHacks purchased a satellite in 2018, and we want to create a physical DoraPlanet for Hackers all over the world. I hope to unite people and organizations with different knowledge backgrounds throughout Odaily, and let them use innovative thinking to solve crucial problems in human society. At the same time share some new news with you. We started a special project called DoraCircus Circus. What is the circus going to do? We do quantum computing Hack, brain science Hack and so on. Quantum computing isn't the answer to everything. But it will almost certainly free us to solve more problems." It may not be the answer that explains everything.
