Bank of America: A Fed Rate Hike in October Would Be the Biggest Bullish Catalyst for US Stocks
Odaily News: While equity investors around the world are still steering clear of the word "rate hike," Bank of America strategist Michael Hartnett has put forward a counterintuitive judgment: if the Federal Reserve chooses to proactively raise rates in October, it would not be a negative, but could instead become the biggest bullish catalyst supporting risk assets and underpinning US stocks. In Hartnett's view, against the current backdrop, if the Fed remains on hold for too long, bond investors will continue to demand higher term premiums, pushing long-end yields further up and ultimately forcing financial conditions to tighten on their own. Conversely, if the Fed proactively raises rates at its October meeting, sending a hawkish signal to curb inflation risks ahead of time, long-end yields could instead stabilize. In that case, the short-term shock from a rate hike may prove less damaging than the greater harm caused by disorderly bond market volatility. (CLS)

Analysis: Bitcoin-Nasdaq Correlation Rebounds to 40%, CPI Data May Be Key Short-Term Variable
Odaily News: CoinShares noted in its latest biweekly market report that U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw net outflows of $679 million last week, including a single-day net outflow of $485 million on Wednesday, the largest single-day outflow since June; ETH ETFs saw net outflows of $542 million last week, with cumulative outflows of nearly $700 million over nine consecutive trading days. BTC briefly approached $87,000 on October 5, then fell back to around $80,300, before rebounding to around $83,500.The report shows that BTC's correlation with the Nasdaq index has rebounded to about 40%, its long-term average level, while its correlation with inflation-linked bonds continues to strengthen. CoinShares believes that U.S. CPI data to be released this week will be an important variable: if core CPI rises 0.3% month-over-month, it could reinforce market expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike in October, putting BTC at risk of testing $80,000 again. Analysis: If Democrats Win the U.S. Midterm Elections, Wall Street and the Crypto Industry May Face More Regulatory Scrutiny
Odaily News: If Democrats win a majority in the House or Senate in the U.S. midterm elections, while it may not necessarily prevent the Trump administration from advancing deregulatory policies for Wall Street banks, prediction markets, and the crypto industry, it would gain stronger investigative and oversight tools. If Democrats control either chamber of Congress, they would have subpoena power, larger investigative teams, and the authority to compel government officials and corporate executives to appear at hearings. Wall Street financial institutions, crypto companies, and related regulatory agencies could face more scrutiny. It is reported that crypto industry figures are particularly watching whether Representative Sean Casten may wield greater influence after Democrats regain control of the House Financial Services Committee. ENS Proposal to Enable ENSv2, New .eth Registrations to Pause for Several Hours During Transition
Odaily reports that Nick Johnson, founder of the Ethereum Name Service protocol ENS, has submitted an executable draft proposal requesting that the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) approve the activation of ENSv2 on the Ethereum mainnet. Once the upgrade is approved, the original ENS registrar will pause new domain registrations, while existing domain holders will still be able to renew.ENSv2 will introduce a more flexible domain management and permissions architecture. After domain record synchronization is complete, new .eth registrations will migrate to the upgraded system, and new registrations on both systems may be paused for several hours during the transition; existing holders will not need to migrate, and their domains will remain fully functional. ENS Labs plans to transfer the remaining administrative permissions of the upgraded contracts to the DAO.The proposal is currently still in draft stage and needs to enter the on-chain DAO voting process. According to governance rules, an executable proposal must secure at least 1 million ENS tokens participating and a majority of support within a 7-day voting period. After approval, it must also undergo a timelock of at least two days. The voting date has not yet been announced. (Cointelegraph)
