Multiple Roles Participation

Depositor

Depositors can deposit assets into HopeLend and receive hTokens representing ownership and earning rights of their deposited assets. HopeLend pools the assets into respective liquidity pools and lends them to borrowers, with generated interest proportionally distributed to all depositors.

Borrower

Borrowers are users who borrow liquidity from the HopeLend asset pools by providing over-collateralization. Borrowers receive dTokens representing their debt. By borrowing against collateral, borrowers can maintain their current asset allocation while accessing liquidity.

Liquidator

Liquidators can intervene when the value of the collateral significantly decreases, selling the collateral assets and repaying any outstanding debts to ensure the safety of remaining funds and protect the interests of the protocol and its users.

HopeOracle

Provides accurate and timely pricing information for collateral assets to ensure an accurate assessment of borrower positions and prevent any potential manipulation or fraud.

Interest Rates

HopeLend protocol adopts the mature "inflection interest rate model" in DeFi protocol. The income and cost of depositors and borrowers are affected by the "funds utilization rate".

Deposit Rate

Liquidity providers can earn interest returns, which are determined by the lending activities of market participants. The deposit rate is variable and can be adjusted according to market conditions and liquidity dynamics.

Borrowing Rate

Borrowers can choose to pay fixed or floating rates.

Floating rates will fluctuate with the deviation between the actual funds utilization rate and the optimal funds utilization rate. Each asset pool has its own unique optimal funds utilization rate.

Stable rates are not affected by changes in future funds utilization, so they are usually higher than floating rates at the same level of funds utilization.

Mining Rewards

HopeLend is one of the few lending protocols on the Ethereum mainnet that provides rewards to all participants. Depositors, borrowers, and liquidators will receive $LT as rewards, bringing additional benefits to users in addition to standard interest income. The distribution of rewards depends on the Gauge weight and funds utilization rate of different asset pools.
