Meta announced the opening of NFT functions to all US users on Facebook and Instagram.

Starting today, the US-based social media platform will allow users to connect Crypto wallets and share NFTs with friends and followers of personal accounts.

As the statement shows, back in May 2022, Meta announced that they would open NFT functionality for Facebook and Instagram.

Through this technology, users can use NFT and other Crypto tools to provide a unique experience, without the need for a third party, users can directly complete transactions with buyers and earn income directly from them.

Over the past few months, the company has allowed NFT creators to share their creations on Instagram.

This feature seems to be very successful, and is considered an important application that can be extended by Meta to other platforms.

How to connect Crypto Wallet with Facebook and Instagram?

In order to be able to connect to social media platforms where users or content creators hold NFTs, they need to check whether Facebook and Instagram support their Crypto wallets.

Currently, these platforms can support on-chain wallets of Ethereum, Polygon and Flow networks.

And these social media platforms also support third-party wallets, such as Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Dapper Wallet, and MetaMask Wallet.

Among them, MetaMaks is one of the most popular Crypto wallets because it provides users with an extended browser that allows them to easily connect to Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.

As explained by Meta, users must first log in to their social media accounts to complete the operation of connecting wallets.

Once this is done, they can click on "Settings," select the "Digital Collection" option on the menu, and then select the "Connect" option to complete the wallet connection operation.

The social media platform will then redirect to a verification page, asking users to provide additional information, such as their wallet password.

Finally, users need to click "Sign" to confirm access to their Crypto wallet.
