The EOS ecosystem began to be restructured, rebuilt, and redesigned under the leadership of the EOS Network Foundation and founder Dan Larimer.

After several twists and turns, the community unanimously decided to stop reporting to the parent companyBlock.oneAfter releasing the tokens and completely parting ways with it, the EOS ecology began toEOS Network Foundation (ENF for short)and founderDan Larimer (BM for short)Under his leadership, refactor, rebuild, and redesign.

BM is known as the father of EOSIO architecture and EOS network. In January 2021, BM left Block. One due to disagreements and other reasons. After resigning, BM has been an active and independent member of the EOS community. At Block. One, the community was outraged by the poor management of the EOS network. In the end, the community chose to cooperate with Block.One. When One split, BM also often posted his views and suggestions on the matter on social media.

As a representative of the community's opinions, the EOS Network Foundation's many initiatives on ecological development have received very positive responses from the community and successfully won the power to manage the future of EOS. Based on this, BM, the founder of EOS, recently announced that he will cooperate with the ClarionOS team led by him to develop the Mandel code base, which will replace the old code base of EOS.

The dispute between the EOS Network Foundation and Block. One has ended, and the EOS ecosystem has unanimously decided to stop paying unreleased block rewards to Block. One from December 8, 2021. Received $21 million in funding directly from the EOS community for ecological construction, all of which represent the final statement of EOS Network Foundation's leadership in the EOS ecosystem.

BM appeared after the EOS software had been stagnant for a long time: on the one hand, the EOS blockchain has remained basically unchanged in the past two years, with only some minor upgrades; Contributing initiatives, never really put into practice. This has a bad impact on the development of the EOS ecology.

Now, with the EOS Network Foundation and the huge EOSIO developer community regaining control of EOS rights, BM has joined the revolution, working together to develop the EOS platform completely independent of Block. One, and quickly enter a new era.

BM and his team will fork the EOSIO codebase into a new repository called Mandel. To maintain flexibility, there will initially be two major upgrades:

  • Mandel 2.3 version: Ensure that nodes that have been upgraded to EOSIO 2.1 and EOSIO 2.2 can seamlessly upgrade to Mandel 2.3 and keep in sync with the Mandel 3.0 mainnet.

  • Mandel 3.0 version: Select some valuable codes from EOSIO 2.1 and EOSIO 2.2, and introduce functions such as contract payment and enhanced configurable blockchain parameters to form the first Mandel 3.0 version.

The Mandel 3.0 test version will be released on January 31, 2022. Such an efficient development process is not only due to the efforts of BM and his Clarionos team, but also thanks to the 200,000 EOS funding provided by the EOS Network Foundation. The funds will be used to support the development and continuous optimization of Mandel 3.0.

express:Yves La Roseexpress:

Taking over the EOSIO code base is a top priority for ENF, and working with Dan Larimer, the original architect of the EOS software, is the logical first step towards this goal. Since resigning from Block. One a year ago, Dan Larimer and the ClarionOS technical team he led have been key active members of the EOS community.

With the concerted efforts of the team and the rest of the EOSIO family, we will end the technical stagnation that EOS has suffered under the leadership of Block.One.

BM also added to this cooperation:

The Mandel code fork is the shortest path to EOS independence, the first step in a long-term plan to revitalize EOS. I am very happy to be working with ENF and I have never been more optimistic about the future of EOS.

Regarding the future vision of EOS, I think it is becoming a DAO of DAOs, new users will not need to pay for accounts, countless people will be rewarded by contributing to the ecology, or inviting more members who are willing to contribute to the community.
