Analysts: If Powell hints at a slowdown in the pace of rate cuts, U.S. Treasury yields may rise further
3 hours ago
According to Odaily Planet Daily, U.S. Treasury yields edged lower during the European session. However, Inki Cho, a financial market strategist at Exness, stated in a report that yields could rise again before the Jackson Hole symposium. Federal Reserve Chairman Powell is scheduled to speak on Friday. Cho said yields could rise if investors' recent bets on a Fed rate cut retreat. "If Powell's tone suggests a slower pace of rate cuts, yields could climb further." (Jinshi)
