Odaily Planet Daily News: Trump administration officials are expanding the list of candidates to succeed Federal Reserve Chairman Powell next year, looking for someone who can win the trust of both the president and the financial markets. An unnamed government official revealed that the candidates being considered include: current Federal Reserve Vice Chairs Jefferson and Bowman; Dallas Fed President Logan; former St. Louis Fed President Bullard and macroeconomic adviser Sumerlin. The official said that more candidates from the private sector may also be considered. These candidates will be added to the list that already includes White House National Economic Council Director Hassett, former Federal Reserve Governor Warsh and current Federal Reserve Governor Waller. This list shows that officials aim to provide Trump with a diverse range of options to replace Powell. (Jinshi)
