Bitcoin mining firm MARA plans to acquire a controlling stake in EDF's artificial intelligence subsidiary for $168 million

According to Odaily Planet Daily, Bitcoin mining company MARA Holdings Inc. will acquire a 64% stake in Exaion, a technology subsidiary of Electricité de France (EDF), for $168 million in cash. Under the agreement, MARA has an option to invest an additional $127 million, increasing its stake to 75%. EDF will remain a minority shareholder. The acquisition aims to expand MARA's presence in artificial intelligence infrastructure. (Bloomberg)
