Centrifuge, a decentralized finance platform, has announced the appointment of Jürgen Blumberg, formerly head of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) at Goldman Sachs, as Chief Operating Officer. Blumberg will also serve as Chief Investment Officer of its affiliate, Anemoy. Blumberg brings over 20 years of capital markets experience at institutions including Goldman Sachs, Invesco, and BlackRock.

Centrifuge currently specializes in tokenizing investment products, with over $760 million in locked-in value on the platform, including a $400 million tokenized U.S. Treasury bond fund issued in partnership with Anemoy. The platform recently expanded its product offerings with the launch of a blockchain-based version of the S&P 500 index and a tokenized credit obligation fund in partnership with asset manager Janus Henderson.
