South Korea launches stablecoin ATM pilot program, limited to foreign tourists, supporting USDT withdrawals

According to Odaily Planet Daily, South Korean blockchain company DaWinKS has partnered with the Kaia DLT Foundation to launch a stablecoin ATM, supporting withdrawals of USDT issued on the Kaia blockchain. The ATM is currently available at various tourist and retail locations. Access is restricted to users holding foreign passports and supports exchange for 85 fiat currencies or top-ups to local transportation cards.
The project is operating under South Korea's "regulatory sandbox" framework and is not currently open to local residents. (Decrypt)
