Lotte Group's Dahong Communication builds a blockchain "capital flow" ecosystem based on Aptos

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Daehong Communications, a subsidiary of South Korea's Lotte Group, has announced the construction of a "Money Movement" blockchain ecosystem for the real economy based on Aptos. As one of South Korea's largest retail and commercial groups, Lotte Group operates across multiple sectors, boasting a vast consumer network and market influence.

This partnership integrates the Aptos blockchain with Giftiel, a mobile voucher service operated by a Dahong subsidiary. Since the integration was completed in early July, Giftiel has over 500,000 users holding vouchers on the Aptos blockchain, with cumulative issuance exceeding one million. This brings the entire voucher process, from issuance, distribution, to redemption, onto the blockchain, providing greater transparency and more reliable data management capabilities.

Leveraging Lotte Group's extensive business scope and Aptos' high-performance blockchain infrastructure, this collaboration is expected to expand to include diverse services related to customer loyalty points, digital assets, and stablecoins. As South Korea's regulatory framework for stablecoins gradually takes shape, this "capital flow" ecosystem has the potential to lay the foundation for future digital asset applications in South Korea.
