07-28 12:55
Odaily Planet Daily News: Privacy coin Monero is facing an attempt to take over the network by mining pool Qubic, which has triggered strong opposition from the community and concerns about hash rate centralization. Qubic previously disclosed in a blog post that it has begun to incentivize Monero CPU mining through its own network, and the mined XMR will be used to fund the repurchase and token destruction of the Qubic ecosystem. Sergey Ivancheglo, founder of the crypto projects Qubic, NXT and Iota, publicly admitted that the Qubic network is staging a takeover of the Monero network. (Cointelegraph)
