US Judge Allows Celsius' $4 Billion Bitcoin Liquidation Lawsuit Against Tether to Move Forward
07-02 08:14

Odaily News A U.S. judge rejected part of Tether's motion to dismiss, allowing Celsius Network's multi-billion dollar lawsuit against Tether to proceed. Celsius accused Tether of improperly liquidating its approximately 39,500 Bitcoin collateral in June 2022, violating the procedures set forth in the loan agreement between the two parties, and that this liquidation caused Celsius to lose more than $4 billion. Although Tether argued that the U.S. court lacked jurisdiction, the judge ruled that Celsius's claims for breach of contract, fraudulent transfer, and priority could continue to be heard.
