03-10 01:29
Odaily News On March 9, Axios reported that Apex Fintech, a fintech company focused on embedding stock trading into applications, is considering acquiring Bakkt, the crypto platform originally spun out of the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
Notably, this potential acquisition comes two years after Bakkt acquired Apex’s crypto business for up to $200 million in 2022. At the time, the deal appeared to be driven by tighter regulation under the Biden administration.
Bakkt shares rose about 15% to $14.86 in early trading after the Axios report was released, and market attention increased significantly.
